A major partnership to preserve and modernize Moroccan equestrian craftsmanship

Promotion of equestrian crafts in Morocco: Partnership agreement to promote the art of Tbourida SOREC, the State Secretariat for Traditional Industry, the Dar Al-Sanea Foundation, and the National Association of Tbourida Equestrian Arts (ANAET) have signed a partnership agreement that places the art of Tbourida, listed by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, at the heart of the equestrian sector’s development strategy as part of the “Green Generation” vision, which includes the 2023-2030 Equestrian Sector Development Program aimed at: – Support traditional artisans specializing in the manufacture of saddles, rifles, and equestrian costumes. – Improve skills and develop the sector through training and qualification programs and incentive grants. – Launch two national awards that recognize creativity and excellence in traditional industries and equestrian arts. – Strike a balance between preserving heritage and embracing innovation to make the sector more sustainable. Through this partnership, efforts are focused on empowering artisans and creating an environment conducive to the development of equestrian arts, ensuring the continuity of this heritage in a contemporary context that meets the demands of future generations.
